Who We Are

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency, dedicated to contributing our extensive management expertise to help resource-constrained nonprofits in South Florida.

Our consultants are C-Level professional and business people with real-world operational expertise. They are not typical consultant employees a few years out of college. Our volunteers have, for decades, successfully provided organizational leadership, managed people, strategically planned growth and mastered changes for some of America’s top-level companies. NESC of South Florida team members can help your agency to address your biggest challenges at an affordable cost.

Our History

In 1977, the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation asked the International Executive Service Corps (IESC) to create an institution that would recruit the vast untapped ranks of American retired private-sector executives and professionals to bring their valuable business expertise to help nonprofit groups across the nation. This new organization was to be called National Executive Service Corps and headed by Frank Pace, Jr., retired Chairman of the General Dynamics Corporation. During his long, illustrious Washington public service career he served as Director of the Budget, Secretary of the Army and member of President Harry Truman’s Cabinet.

During its first decade, NESC and its 30 national affiliates mobilized over 5,000 volunteer consultants to aid 3,500 nonprofits.

In 2008, the NESC of NY, NJ and CT sponsored the creation of the National Executive Service Corps of South Florida. Our clients are non-profit agencies operating in the governmental, religious, educational, healthcare, social services and arts and culture sectors.

The quality of National Executive Service Corps consultants reflect the fact that most have been highly successful chief executives, managing directors, chief financial officers, entrepreneurs, top fundraisers, law firm senior partners, information technology chiefs, human resource specialists and more.
The NESC and its affiliates’ thirty-plus years of experience and resources provide a platform that is unparalleled in serving the non-profit community.
